Academics is seeking a proactive Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a partner secondary school in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The role is full-time and long-term, starting in October 2026, offering valuable classroom experience for those considering teacher training.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support across KS3/KS4, deliver targeted interventions, assist teachers, and promote positive behaviour and independent learning.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate, any subject considered.
• Passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
• Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with children or young people beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver targeted academic intervention programmes.
