Job summary

Academics is working with a friendly, nurturing primary school in Woking to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time, term-time role offers 1:1 support and engaging group interventions to help children with diverse needs.

You will support pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD and speech and language challenges, fostering their academic, social and emotional development in a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Experience providing SEN support in a primary setting.
• Knowledge of Autism/ADHD/SEMH and related needs.
• Patience, empathy, resilience and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support for pupils with SEN inside and outside the classroom.
• Deliver targeted small-group literacy, numeracy, and communication interventions.
• Support children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs.
• Foster positive relationships to aid social, emotional, and academic development.
