Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11-18 across Leeds & Wakefield. You will assist teachers, work with individuals and small groups, and help create a positive learning environment in secondary schools.

This role offers practical classroom experience, ongoing support from education consultants, and a strong foundation for future teacher training or education-related careers. Days are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduates with a passion for working with young people.
  • Interest in pursuing teaching, educational psychology, youth work or education.
  • Confident communicators who can motivate and engage students.
  • Patient, proactive and adaptable individuals who enjoy teamwork.
  • Previous experience with young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of subjects.

  • Provide targeted academic and pastoral support where needed.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Join secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, supporting students aged 11-18 in the classroom while working alongside experienced teachers and support staff. You'll gain hands‑on experience helping students achieve their potential and develop the skills needed for a successful career in education.

What you'll do:
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across a range of subjects.
