Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Cover Supervisor across Leeds and Wakefield to support pupils aged 11-18 by delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of a teacher. You will help maintain a constructive learning environment while working with experienced staff to ensure continuity of learning.

This role provides valuable classroom experience and guidance from education consultants, with clear opportunities to progress into long-term or teacher-training pathways.

Join secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, supporting students aged 11-18 by delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment while gaining invaluable experience working alongside experienced teaching staff.

What you'll do:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the teacher's absence.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students to remain engaged and focused throughout lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and lesson progress.

Who we're looking for:

• Confident, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with young people.
• Graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, tutors, or experienced Cover Supervisors.
• Strong communicators who can engage and motivate students.
• Calm, adaptable and resilient, with excellent classroom management skills.
• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.

What this role offers:

• Pay: £107.71 - £137.71 per day
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
