Job summary

Step Into Teaching is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for September 2026 across Luton, Bedfordshire. This full-time, term-time post offers graduates classroom experience in primary and secondary settings, with opportunities to progress into teacher training or related education roles.

You will support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions and helping create an inclusive learning environment. A 2:2 degree and GCSEs are required.

Qualifications

  • A 2:2 degree or above (all degree subjects considered).
  • GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
  • Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; enthusiastic and adaptable.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in lessons across primary and secondary settings.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day.
