Step Into Teaching is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across a mainstream secondary school in Hinckley, Leicestershire. You will help learners access the curriculum, build confidence and raise attainment as part of a supportive team.

Ideal graduates have a degree in any subject, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in education. Previous experience with young people is desirable but not essential, with DBS checks required.

Responsibilities

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary

Location:Hinckley, Leicestershire
Salary:£500–£530 per week, term-time only
Start Date:September 2026
Contract:Full-time, Monday–Friday, academic year

Are you a graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school before pursuing a career in teaching?

Step Into Teaching is working with amainstream secondary school in Hinckleyto recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across the school.

The role will involve working withstudents of all abilities, supporting them to access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their academic potential. You will also provide targeted support to students withadditional needs, including learning difficulties, behavioural needs.

The Role
  • Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group academic support where required
