Job summary

Step Into Teaching is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a nurturing primary school in Walton-on-Thames. You will support learners with mixed abilities, helping them feel inspired, confident and happy within the classroom.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with September start. You will have opportunities for 1:1 and small group sessions and will be supported by our pre-teacher training programme to prepare you for future teacher training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Provide classroom support to learners with mixed abilities and needs.
• Assist with ongoing learning activities and opportunities for SEN support.
• Collaborate with teachers to foster a positive learning environment.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll be providing tailored support to learners with mixed abilities and needs within the classroom. Your support will be crucial for ensuring all students feel inspired, confident and happy, while making sure all elements of the lesson are being understood.

You’ll also have the opportunity to do 1:1 and small group sessions with learners outside of the classroom, allowing you to build strong bonds and further support them in your learning journey.
