Job summary

Hoare Lea in London is seeking a 2027 Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join a multi-disciplinary building engineering team. You’ll work across sectors, contribute to energy modelling, BREEAM and sustainability strategies from day one, and develop through structured mentoring.

The role offers flexible working within a supported path to Chartership, with exposure to live projects and ongoing CPD. You’ll collaborate with industry specialists and help deliver sustainable solutions across the

Qualifications

• Degree a 2.1 or above in Engineering, Architecture, or Built Environment or equivalent
• Appreciation of broader sustainability issues including governance and reporting
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible approach
• Masters or postgraduate qualification is advantageous
• Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage
• Knowledge of BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, Energy Modelling is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Working on live projects from day one across healthcare to hotels, retail to residential
• Undertaking building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams using various modelling approaches
• Developing energy strategies with clients to lead sustainability innovation
• Assisting in the delivery of environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM) from design to completion
• Developing understanding of whole life carbon reporting to support Net Zero strategies
• Undertaking site surveys and researching new technologies
• Continual CPD and learning opportunities
• Supporting the development of holistic Sustainability Strategies
