Job summary

Hoare Lea is inviting applications for a 2027 Graduate Sustainability Consultant based in Bournemouth. The role offers exposure to a wide range of built-environment projects and a pathway to Chartership through a mentored development framework.

You'll engage in energy modelling, environmental assessments, and sustainability strategy development while benefiting from flexible and hybrid working options and a strong emphasis on professional growth.

Qualifications

• 2.1 or above degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Built Environment.
• An appreciation of broader sustainability issues, such as governance and reporting.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
• Masters or other relevant post graduate qualification advantageous.
• Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry.
• Knowledge / awareness of BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, Energy Modelling.

Responsibilities

• Undertake building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams using various modelling approaches.
• Develop energy strategies with clients to lead sustainability innovation.
• Assist in the delivery of environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc) from design to completion.
• Develop understanding of whole life carbon reporting to support Net Zero strategies.
• Engage in CPD and learning opportunities and contribute to Sustainability Strategies.
