Job summary

This opportunity suits recent graduates aiming to gain hands-on experience in education and therapeutic support. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help with emotional regulation, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement individual plans.

Qualifications

  • Graduates with a degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology or a related subject.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Patient, resilient and empathetic individuals with a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Assist with classroom activities, interventions and individual support plans.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.
