Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Science & Maths Teaching Assistant for a prestigious secondary school in West London. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to students, helping improve understanding and communication.

The role is full-time during term time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, at a daily rate of 100–110 GBP. A bachelor's degree in Science or Maths is required; DBS checks and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science/Maths or related field.
• Experience with young people in educational settings is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students and staff.
• Subject to Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students, focusing on subject understanding and communication.
• Collaborate with Science and Maths teachers to deliver engaging lessons tailored to student needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment to promote engagement and participation.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities related to English (where applicable).
