Job summary

Amey is offering a Graduate Project Manager position in the Built Environment, based in Manchester, Sheffield or Derby. You will support a range of projects from day one, learning from industry experts and developing practical project management skills.

The role is 40 hours per week with a September 2027 start date, and a starting salary of £31,000. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 2:1 or above in a project management related subject.
• Placement year, internship or work experience in project management, construction, engineering or consultancy.
• Awareness of project management methodologies and principles.
• Willingness to work towards professional membership with APM, CMI or RICS.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a diverse range of projects across education, healthcare, local authority, infrastructure and public sector environments.
• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, risk management and project controls.
• Monitor project progress and help prepare reports, presentations and client updates.
• Attend project meetings, record actions and support coordination of project teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to cost management, forecasting and project governance activities.
• Support the management of project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
