Amey is offering a Graduate Building Services Engineer position across multiple UK locations, starting at £31,000 with a 40-hour week. You’ll join the Consulting Buildings and Property team, supporting condition surveys, feasibility studies, design and calculations, site visits and energy modelling from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering at 2:1 or above
• Full UK driving license
• Basic understanding of CAD/BIM software (Revit, IES, TAS, AutoCAD)
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication
• Interest in building performance, energy management and sustainability

Responsibilities

• Work in a team producing technically sound engineering solutions meeting standards and client requirements
• Design and modelling of HVAC, lighting, power, and water systems using Revit or AutoCAD
• Carry out engineering calculations (load analysis, pipe stress) and energy modelling
• Conduct site visits, survey conditions and observe commissioning/installation progress
• Coordinate with architects, clients and structural engineers to integrate services into designs
• Research low-carbon solutions and energy-efficient technologies
• Assist with technical reports, project specifications and cost estimates
• Perform general office duties to support the consulting business
