Job summary

Amey Ltd in the Built Environment sector is offering a Graduate Project Manager role across Manchester, Sheffield or Derby. You’ll join the Consulting team, work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, and begin in September 2027 with a real delivery focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure and public sector projects.

From day one you’ll be supported by experienced professionals, gain practical PM skills, pursue professional membership with APM/CMI/RICS, and contribute to projects that

Qualifications

• A 2:1 or above in a Project Management related subject.
• Placement year, internship or work experience within project management, construction, engineering or consultancy.
• Awareness of project management methodologies and principles.
• Willingness to pursue professional membership with APM, CMI or RICS.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a diverse range of projects across education, healthcare, local authority, infrastructure and public sector environments.
• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, risk management and project controls.
• Monitor project progress and help prepare reports, presentations and client updates.
• Attend project meetings, record actions and support the coordination of project teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to cost management, forecasting and project governance activities.
• Support the management of project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Help identify project risks and opportunities and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
• Gain exposure to commercial, contractual and procurement processes.
• Work alongside experienced project professionals and technical specialists, learning best practice approaches to project management.
• Complete professional development activities and work towards recognised project management qualifications and chartership pathways.
• Contribute to Amey's commitment to safety, sustainability, innovation and continuous improvement.
