Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in Exeter is offering a permanent full-time role for a graduate chemical/environmental engineer to join the water team. You will work on live projects with a large multidisciplinary design team, gaining hands-on experience across process design, commissioning and project delivery.

The role emphasises development through our Early Careers programme, with training, mentoring and exposure to real projects that make a difference in water infrastructure across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (BEng) or MSc
• Excellent verbal communication for client and team liaison
• Proficient IT skills with Excel, Word, 3D Models and BIM
• Excellent written communication, attention to detail and report writing
• Methodical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

• Evaluate process engineering design, including calculations, mass/energy balances and PFDs
• Contribute to Early Contract proposals, challenging solutions for efficiency and sustainability
• Engage with supply chain to produce technical specs for procured equipment and provide process support
• Assist with onsite commissioning and handover; develop sequences and demonstrations
• Follow health, safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures
