Job summary

Wates invites energetic graduates to join our Pre-Construction Management Trainee programme in Warrington. You’ll learn how projects are planned, costed and bid for, working with Estimating, Commercial, Design and Operations teams to build compelling proposals.

You’ll gain practical experience across bid preparation, client requirements and procurement, while developing technical and behavioural skills through workshops and placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (2:2 or above) by Sept 2027
• Full UK driving licence required
• Location Warrington, UK within the programme

Responsibilities

• Support Pre-Construction team in preparing bids, proposals and tender submissions.
• Identify client requirements and develop bid strategies.
• Produce client-focused bid content tailored to each opportunity.
• Coordinate inputs from teams to ensure compliant, timely submissions.
• Maintain documentation and Programme schedules for bid activities.
• Assist in gathering information for submissions and client meetings.
• Develop understanding of project lifecycle from tendering to delivery.
