Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Power Systems Engineer to join the HV Networks team in Birmingham or Manchester. You will engage in planning, analysis and design for high‑voltage transmission and distribution projects, supporting clients through the energy transition.

The role offers opportunities to develop expertise in power system studies, HVDC technology, electrical design and cross‑disciplinary collaboration within a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical engineering fundamentals, electrical design and power system analysis.
• Technical skills include coding languages and CAD/BIM experience on electrical design projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform power systems studies and assessments for HV networks.
• Assist with planning, analysis, design and delivery of high-voltage projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UKIMEA region and internationally.
• Support energy transition initiatives by ensuring safe and effective network operation.
• Contribute to development and innovation in electricity networks.
