Job summary

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in the West Midlands is recruiting a Graduate Planning Officer for the Development Control Team. You will handle your own caseload of non-complex planning applications, assist with more complex cases, and support the planning appeals process.

A Masters in Town Planning (or final year) is required; strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, and a positive, flexible team mindset are essential. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Town Planning (or be in final year of study) and strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex information and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of non-complex planning applications, including registration and consultation.
• Support the Development Control Team with more complex applications and planning appeals administration.
• Maintain the Section 106 register and process tree works, high hedge applications, and provide pre-application advice to the public.
