Job summary

North Warwickshire Borough Council invites applications for two Trainee/Graduate Development Management Officers to join the Development Management Team. You will ideally have planning control knowledge and some experience in development management, but transferable skills will be considered.

On-the-job mentoring and training will be provided. You should have at least A Level or equivalent, and you will be working towards a Planning degree for higher levels.

Qualifications

• Requires planning control knowledge and experience in development management or transferable skills.
• On-the-job mentoring and training will be provided.
• At least A Level or equivalent; planning degree or working towards for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Process minor, householder and other planning applications.
• Offer guidance and assistance to applicants and the public.
• Prepare reports for the Planning and Development Board and defend decisions on appeal.
