Job summary

Babcock offers a Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme based in Bristol, UK, with rotations every 3–6 months across diverse engineering projects. You’ll gain experience from concept to in-service support, and progress toward professional registration within a global engineering framework.

The programme provides structured mentoring, graduate development masterclasses, and a clear pathway to permanent roles in the Engineering Function, including Senior Engineer opportunities.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Mechanical, Structural, Motorsport, Materials, Mechatronics, Engine Systems, Welding, Automotive, or AeroMechanical.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a UK driving licence.
• Must be able to obtain BPSS and Security Check.
• Location: Bristol with UK-wide rotations.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through placements every 3–6 months across projects.
• Support design reviews and stress analysis.
• Work on submarines, surface ships, and other naval/land platforms.
• Develop leadership and project management skills.
