Job summary

Babcock is offering a Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme in the UK. Start salary is £35,000, with location-based variation across Bristol, Plymouth, Ashchurch and Gloucester. The scheme runs over two years with rotations, leading to a permanent role in the Engineering Function.

You will receive structured training, mentorship, and a path toward Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, plus a broad range of engineering projects and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have (or be on track to achieve) a BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Work on the design, development and integration of mechanical systems across naval and maritime platforms.
• Rotate through placements every 3–6 months across multiple locations to broaden experience and build professional networks.
• Support work across the engineering lifecycle from concept design to production, commissioning, in-service support and decommissioning.
