Job summary

Babcock is seeking graduates for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme based in Bristol. You will rotate through placements, contributing to a range of projects from design to decommissioning, and work toward professional registration while developing technical and leadership skills.

You’ll join a global network of engineers, with structured mentorship, graduate development masterclasses and support to achieve BPSS/SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Achieve or be on track to achieve a BEng or MEng in Mechanical, Structural, Motorsport, Materials, Mechatronics, Engine Systems, Welding, Automotive, or AeroMechanical.
• Must be able to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
• UK national only due to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work on UK’s most impactful engineering projects.
• Support work across the engineering lifecycle from concept to decommissioning.
• Design submarines and surface ships; convert military vehicles; refurbish ships; advance nuclear power plants.
• Collaborate with global network of engineers and specialists; lead design reviews; oversee stress analysis; manage integration of mechanical systems.
