Job summary

Kier Group invites graduates to join the Infrastructure team on the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier project in Somerset. The role is a two-year, permanent, full-time graduate scheme beginning September 2027, with a starting salary of £31,000 and the potential to reach around £38,000 after progression.

A car allowance of £4,750 or a company car may apply where eligible. You will assist in designing and delivering Mechanical systems, with site visits, drawings, reports, and collaborative work across PMs,

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or due to graduate in 2027 with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Ambition to pursue professional membership or chartership.
• Strong communication and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development and implementation of mechanical systems for projects.
• Support preparation of drawings, specifications and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design compliance and safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors for effective communication.
• Prepare technical reports and project updates as required.
