Job summary

Stantec in Birmingham is launching a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Mechanical Engineer in our Buildings discipline. You will support MEP project delivery, work across disciplines, perform calculations, and develop BIM models to deliver sustainable building solutions.

You will be encouraged to gain professional accreditation (IEng/CEng) and must have the right to live/work in the UK. The role requires office presence four days per week and a permanent contract path through Stantec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering related discipline.
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Interest in working in the Buildings sector.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of MEP projects through mechanical and electrical building services designs.
• Coordinate designs across disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard software tools.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports and design documentation.
• Produce and develop 3D models using BIM and related software.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions.
