Job summary

Stantec is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Birmingham office as part of the Autumn 2027 Graduate Programme. You’ll join a market-leading Civils team, work on development and infrastructure projects, and gain exposure to drainage, utilities and road design while training towards IEng/CEng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in Infrastructure sector and professional chartership.
• Willingness to work in a team across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Finding the optimum and sustainable design solution for residential infrastructure including drainage and highways.
• Varied design works for residential and commercial schemes using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other industry software.
• Supporting on engineering activities from feasibility through to construction, including the production of detailed calculations, analysis and inspections.
• Assessment risk on projects and undertaking of risk management to mitigate them.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals.
• Providing technical guidance on civil engineering matters to the wider project team.
• Attending meetings and workshops with clients and members of other disciplines.
