Job summary

• Degree-qualified engineer (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assist with manufacturing processes and ensure productivity and quality controls.
• Identify upgrades to increase productivity and implement modifications.
• Assist Six Sigma projects and implement robust solutions to manufacturing problems.
• Run trials in conjunction with the PDI program.
• Batch testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Create work instructions, process flow diagrams and SOPs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Participate in new product development to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Our successful manufacturing company has identified manufacturing engineering as a key area for the business and is looking to hire a graduate engineer to join the team. The role reports directly into a Senior Production Engineer and is exciting as you will gain exposure to a number of areas including quality, operations and new product introduction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with manufacturing Processes and ensure they are optimised in terms of productivity and efficiency and that all critical to quality aspects are identified and controlled.
• Assist in the identification of upgrades and modifications required to increase productivity and improve quality. Implement modifications/upgrades as required.
• Assist with Six Sigma projects and implement robust solutions to manufacturing problems.
• Run trials in conjunction with the PDI program.
• Batch Testing.
• Support the Production engineer implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Assist the Production Engineer by creating work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Participate in new product development projects to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
