GRADUATE M&A Research Analyst EUROPE (M&A GRADUATE) London, England

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP40000 per annum

This is a rare & exciting opportunity for a GRADUATE to take first steps into M&A as a Trainee M&A ANALYST (ideally with German). Full training is provided. You will be conducting research to identify technology businesses that may be open to merger or acquisition opportunities. The role can be 100% remote or hybrid, depending on your preference. This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate interested in a career in M&A.

The role involves supporting the M&A team in researching and identifying potential acquisition targets. Your main responsibilities will include analysis and deal support.

Full training will be provided. This is an excellent entry point into a finance career.

DUTIES

Research Analysis (80%)

• Research potential acquisition targets
• Develop and maintain an investment profile for target companies
• Identify decision-makers in large multinational corporations
• Rank companies and identify "carve-out" opportunities
• Manage acquisition-related data in the in-house system (training provided)
• Conduct market research across geographies for acquisition opportunities
• Map out relevant software M&A advisors globally and regionally
• Utilize third-party data sources, industry lists, and trade conferences to identify opportunities
• Categorize companies and pass information to the sales team for outreach

M&A Deal Support (20%)

• Assist with market analysis, contract review, financial analysis, and due diligence
• Prepare investment memorandums
• Support Business Development Executives and Group Leaders
• Maintain communication with internal teams

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent in English; German is preferred but not essential
• Interest or knowledge in software and technology sectors
• Proficiency in Excel (data manipulation from multiple sources)
