Job summary

Horndean Technology College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students on the SEN register. The role involves assisting in lessons and helping with exams, with potential to run 1:1 or small group interventions.

The successful candidate will have strong communication, patience and teamwork, plus general literacy, numeracy and IT skills. The post is 29.42 hours per week during term time, with a salary band £16,864–£17,090 (FTE £24,796–£25,128).

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, patience and a flexible approach are essential.
• Ability to work within a team and support students with SEN.
• Solid literacy, numeracy and IT skills are required to assist across subjects.
• Experience with students who display challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Graduate-friendly role with scope for 1:1 or small group interventions.
