Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants in Sunderland secondary schools. Roles suit Psychology, Sports Science, Health, or Social Care graduates, but graduates of any subject are welcome.

The role involves supporting students with varying needs, delivering interventions, and assisting teachers with differentiated delivery. An enhanced DBS is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in education and working with young people.
• Willingness to engage with students needing support and intervention.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and differentiated delivery.
• Help students access the curriculum and develop independence.
• Liaise with the SENCO and wider support team as required.
