Job summary

Smile Education is looking for a Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils' academic and social development in a Leicester secondary school. The role involves working closely with SEN pupils and collaborating with teachers to help boost pupils’ learning.

The successful candidate will be a graduate in psychology or a related subject, empathetic to the needs of students, and capable of delivering tailored academic support. The position starts in August/September 2026 and is a full-time, term-time role.

Qualifications

• Holder of a degree in psychology or a related curriculum-based subject.
• Experience working with or supporting young people is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and support social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Support SEN pupils and those needing academic assistance.
