Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates for Graduate Teaching Assistant roles across Sunderland and South Tyneside from September 2026. These schools emphasise relationships, routine and student support; ideal candidates are warm, confident and keen to make a difference.

Responsibilities include supporting learning in lessons, assisting with literacy, and contributing to the social life of the school. DBS checks and CPD are provided; competitive daily rates paid weekly.

Qualifications

• A degree in any discipline.
• Confident, approachable and naturally people-focused personality.
• Positive, adaptable and willing to learn on the job.
• Genuine enthusiasm for building relationships with young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting graduates for Teaching Assistant roles across a range of secondary school settings in Sunderland and South Tyneside from September 2026. These are schools built around relationships, routine, and genuine student support — and they're looking for people who want to be properly involved, not just present.

Experience working with young people is an advantage, but not essential. What matters more is the right attitude — warm, confident, and genuinely interested in making a difference.
