Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Graduate Learning Mentor for a secondary school in Wednesbury. This role provides 1:1 and small-group SEN support for students with Autism and ADHD, helping them follow routines, break tasks into steps, and stay focused during lessons.

You will work closely with teaching and SEN staff to build confidence, independence and positive engagement in lessons. Enhanced DBS required or willing to obtain one. Immediate start until July 2027.

Qualifications

  • 2:2 degree or above in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Criminology or a related subject.
  • Genuine interest in supporting students with Autism, ADHD, communication needs and emotional regulation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear, structured guidance.
  • Ability to support focus, routines, organisation and positive engagement in lessons.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support for students with Autism and ADHD.
  • Help students follow routines, understand instructions, and break tasks into manageable steps.
  • Support organisation, transitions, emotional regulation and positive behaviour throughout the day.
