Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a 1:1 SEN Learning Mentor for a good primary school in Wolverhampton. You will provide dedicated support to a non-verbal pupil and help access learning during the school day.

This graduate role requires a 2:2 or higher in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or related subject, excellent communication, and an Enhanced DBS. The position offers daily rates of £85 to £100 and an immediate start through July 2027, with colleagues and SEN team to ensure structure

Qualifications

  • 2:2 degree or above in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject.
  • Genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN and communication needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, nurturing approach.
  • Ability to build trust and provide consistent 1:1 support.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a non-verbal pupil with additional needs.
  • Help the pupil access learning and follow daily routines.
  • Provide structure, reassurance and consistent encouragement.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to support progress.
