Job summary

KPI Education in Chester is seeking a Graduate Learning Mentor to support pupils with autism and SEND within an independent specialist school.

You will work 8:45am–4:45pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only, starting 2 November 2026, delivering 1:1 and small-group support while collaborating with teachers and therapists.

This role offers practical experience for aspiring Educational Psychologists, SEN teachers or therapists, contributing to pupils' learning and development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Education, Neuroscience or a related subject.
• Strong interest in autism and SEND.
• Desire to pursue Educational Psychology, SEN teaching or related fields.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism and SEND.
• Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists.
• Implementing personalised learning and positive behaviour strategies.
• Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.
