Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Graduate Learning Mentor for a SEND school in Gateshead. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and communication difficulties, helping them engage with learning.

This role offers hands-on SEND experience and a clear path to teaching or educational psychology-related careers. Training and CPD are provided to develop your skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a relevant degree or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, resilience and adaptability to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour.
• Support classroom learning and interventions.
• Encourage communication and independence.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work alongside teachers and SEND professionals.
