Job summary

M-Sport UK in the Lake District region is inviting applications for a Graduate Hydraulics Engineer to join the Hydraulics team at Dovenby Hall. You will build, test and develop high-performance hydraulic systems for competition cars, while supporting projects and documenting technical work.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, a genuine motorsport passion, and the ability to learn quickly in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Motorsport, Mechanical or related field.
  • Demonstrated passion for motorsport and engineering.
  • eagerness to learn and take on hands-on challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical problem-solving approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork across departments.
  • Proven ability to deliver under deadlines and manage tasks.
  • Proficient in MS Office and engineering software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist build, development and testing of hydraulic systems for high-performance race cars.
  • Support planning, forecasting and project delivery to standards and deadlines.
  • Learn and improve processes within the Hydraulics Department.
  • Prepare technical documentation for builds and development activities.
  • Perform quality and build checks to meet required standards.
  • Help track lifing of hydraulic components for reliability.
  • Analyse issues and report to improve system performance.
  • Assist with system integration and cross-department collaboration.

As part of our Graduate Engineering Programme for the 2027/28 intake, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Graduate Hydraulics Engineer to join our Hydraulics team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters.This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to develop their career within a high-performance motorsport environment, working at the interface between Engineering, Design and the Hydraulics Department.
