M-Sport UK, based at Dovenby Hall, is seeking an experienced Hydraulics Technician to join our high‑performance hydraulics team. You will assemble, test and maintain hydraulic systems for competition cars, ensuring top quality and reliability in a demanding motorsport environment.

You will interpret hydraulic drawings, select components, and work across Engineering, Design and Workshop teams to deliver vehicles that perform at the highest level on the world stage.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Light Vehicle Maintenance, Motorsport Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic principles, components, systems and safe working practices.
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Strong practical skills with the ability to accurately assemble and install hydraulic components and systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong understanding of accuracy, repeatability and quality.
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hydraulic faults and issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of workshop health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install and prepare hydraulic systems and components in accordance with engineering drawings and build requirements.
  • Prepare hydraulic components, fittings, hoses, pipes and associated equipment for installation.
  • Carry out pressure testing, functional testing and inspection of hydraulic systems to ensure performance and safety standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical information to accurately assemble systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic faults, leaks and performance issues using a methodical approach.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair and refurbishment of hydraulic components and systems.
  • Ensure hydraulic work is completed to the required quality standards, specifications and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Workshop and Quality Control to deliver projects on time.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in the workshop and keep tools and areas safe.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Hydraulics Technician to join our busy Hydraulics Department at our Dovenby Hall headquarters.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the assembly, preparation, maintenance and delivery of high-performance hydraulic systems and components for competition cars.
