Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller to join Kier Design, based in one of our design offices across Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Norwich or Salford. Starting salary is £31,000 per annum, with a 2‑year programme leading to an assistant level role and salary potential around £38k.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 or within the past three years with a Civil Engineering degree.
• ICE-accredited Civil Engineering degree or closely related discipline.
• Full driving licence.
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering and the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design and checking of permanent and temporary design solutions.
• Assisting with tender and bid-winning support, including outline design schemes and feasibility studies.
• Supporting the development of alternative solutions and value engineering.
• Conducting site visits, surveys and inspections.
• Attending meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to discuss project progress.
