  • £28,000 - £30,000

Job Introduction

Are you passionate about health, safety, and environmental management? Sodexo Health and Care is looking for a Health & Safety Graduate to join our team supporting across the Manchester University Foundations Trust. In this role, you'll work closely with the Health & Safety Manager to support the implementation of safety strategies, assist with risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You'll help build a safety culture, provide training, conduct audits, and support accident investigations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors

What You'll Do:

  • Support the operation and promotion of an integrated management system focused on environmental, health, and safety across operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo management system policies, including risk assessments, accident prevention, and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage environmental health, safety, and well-being through audits, inspections, and setting high standards for safety behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo Integrated Audit Management System for Health Care contracts, auditing units every 6 months.
  • Report on food safety audit performance and participate in management review meetings to identify improvements.
  • Advise managers on environmental and health & safety matters, promoting best practices and legal obligations.
  • Assist with operational technical training, promoting Health & Safety awareness and ensuring food safety, pest control, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring communication with clients, Sodexo HSE team, sub-contractors, and customers to meet expectations and compliance.

What You Bring:

Essential

  • Current degree holder
  • Interest in developing a career in Health & Safety
  • Ability to priorities, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self - imposed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communicator including factual report writing

Desirable

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience in soft FM safety management
