Job description

Successful candidates will have an offer on the table prior to Christmas 2026 or early 2027 for a start in the Autumn.

What's the role?

Ridge is a Built Environment Consultancy. This is all about the human-made spaces and structures that support how and where we live, work and play. It's everything from individual buildings to entire cities and the infrastructure that connects them. As a Graduate Health and Safety Consultant at Ridge, you'll gain hand-on experience across a wide range of construction projects, combining time on site with working alongside project and design teams.

You'll support our teams with construction site visits and design risk management, helping to ensure buildings are designed with safety in mind throughout their lifecycle, from how they are constructed and used to how they are maintained and, eventually, demolished.

The role also involves gathering, reviewing and coordinating key project information, working with a variety of people across the project team. This means there are lots of similarities with project management, so it's a great fit for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, communicating with different people and making sure important information doesn't get missed.

You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with some understanding of construction and/or health and safety, who is keen to get stuck in, ask questions and learn from experienced professionals. You'll gain excellent exposure to different projects, clients, designers and contractors while developing the technical and professional skills to build a rewarding career in the construction industry.

What do I need to succeed?

• I have or am predicted a 2:1 bachelor's degree in a construction related subject
• I can demonstrate some knowledge, experience or a genuine interest in construction and/or health and safety
• I am available to start work full-time from Autumn 2027
• I have a permanent Right to Work in the UK and do not need visa sponsorship
• I am curious and eager to learn
