Job summary

Amey is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Consulting team in the UK. The role involves working on geotechnical projects from day one, with mentors provided. Start date is September 2027, and the starting salary is £31,000.

Locations include Birmingham, Manchester, York, and Bristol. The role includes a 40-hour work week and will involve site visits as part of infrastructure projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Produce desk studies to determine risk and suitable design solutions with safety first.
• Plan and supervise ground investigations to inform geotechnical interventions.
• Carry out geotechnical asset inspections on major infrastructure in Rail and Highways sectors.
• Propose solutions to engineering problems and perform calculations to assess suitability.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and design reports.
• Deliver multidisciplinary schemes in collaboration with Amey Consulting teams.
