Job summary

COWI is recruiting a Graduate Engineer to join its Ground Engineering team in the UK. You will support geotechnical design, interpret ground investigation data, and help develop site-scale ground models while working toward Chartership with guidance from senior engineers.

You’ll contribute to prestigious infrastructure projects, gain practical field experience, and benefit from a tailored development plan and hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology with MSc in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Interest in Chartered status and dedication to professional progression.
• Practical experience in an engineering environment through placements or projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical design activities and interpret ground investigation data.
• Undertake engineering geological mapping and ground modelling at site scale.
• Support and supervise ground investigations on site.
• Check calculations and drawings from colleagues to ensure quality.
• Promote engineering best practice including use of in-house tools.
• Plan workload with project manager and monitor progress against budget and programme.
• Deliver own work with accuracy and timely communication.
• Attend site visits or client meetings.
