Job summary

Mott MacDonald is offering a graduate role in Geotechnics based in Leeds. You will join a global practice with a mentor and participate in the Accelerating your Future programme, gaining hands-on experience across ground engineering disciplines.

You will develop skills through structured training, online webinars, and Practice-led initiatives while contributing to major below-ground projects and site investigations within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering geology, Geotechnical engineering or Civil Engineering obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected.
Demonstrated interest in joining Mott MacDonald with awareness of our projects and values.

Responsibilities

Prepare desk studies for site investigations and design context.
Plan, supervise and report ground investigations to Eurocode 7.
Develop visualisation of digital ground data using Leapfrog and Openground.
Contribute to ground model interpretation and parameter derivation for design and risk.
Perform soil and rock mechanics analyses for foundations, slopes, earthworks, and retaining structures.
Classify rock masses using rock mass rating systems and prepare technical reports.
Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
