Mott MacDonald Bentley in Leeds is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to develop innovative working methods, reduce carbon and protect the environment. You will support geotechnical desk studies, design ground investigations and liaise with fieldworks teams.

The role requires a degree in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering (MSc/MEng), UK geology knowledge, and a full UK driving licence. The company offers a bespoke Early Careers Development Programme and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering (MSc/MEng).
• Good understanding of geology and geological processes in the UK.
• Strong organisational, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geotechnical desk studies and design ground investigations.
• Support supervision of ground investigation fieldworks and liaise with contractors.
• Interpret ground investigation data and develop geotechnical design parameters.
• Produce ground investigation reports and geotechnical design reports per EC7.
• Collaborate with non-specialist project teams to communicate project ground risks and mitigations.
• Undertake geotechnical calculations and contribute to drawings and specifications.
