Job summary

Mott MacDonald is offering a graduate geotechnics position across our global ground engineering network in the UK. You will learn from experienced geotechnical engineers and engineers geologists, with access to webinars, workshops and a structured development programme.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering or civil engineering, and less than 12 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the specified disciplines (to be obtained no earlier than 2025).

Responsibilities

• Prepare desk studies.
• Plan, supervise and report on ground investigations to Eurocode 7.
• Assist in visualising digital ground data using Leapfrog and other modelling platforms.
• Contribute to ground model interpretation and parameter derivation for design and risk management.
• Assist with soil and rock mechanics analyses for foundations, slopes, earthworks and retaining structures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering geology, Geotechnical engineering or Civil Engineering
