Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to develop innovative, pragmatic solutions, reduce carbon, and protect the environment across UK projects. You will undertake desk studies, design ground investigations, and contribute to geotechnical design and reporting.

Qualifications

Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering (MSc/MEng)
A good understanding of geology and geological processes in the UK
Strong organisational, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

Undertake geotechnical desk studies and design ground investigations
Supervise ground investigation fieldworks and liaise with contractors
Interpret ground data and develop geotechnical design parameters and risk assessments
Produce ground investigation and geotechnical design reports to EC7
Collaborate with design and construction teams to communicate risks and mitigations
Prepare calculation packages and input to works specifications and drawings
