Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology with 2:1 or higher.
• MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Civil 3D desirable.
• Ground engineering experience preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to pursue ICE/IOM3 or The Geological Society qualifications.
• Interest in ground engineering projects and client promotion.
• Flexibility to work away from home on sites and in other offices.
• Full UK driving license preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to plan with the team.

Responsibilities

• Desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys and geomorphological mapping.
• Design, planning and procurement of ground investigations.
• Supervision of ground investigation fieldwork.
• Geological interpretation and reporting of interpretative reports.
• Analysis of geotechnical data and ground models; design and reporting.
• Use of Openground and Leapfrog for 3D geological modelling.
• Access to 2D/3D software with opportunities to develop modelling skills.
