Job summary

Jensen Hughes in Birmingham, UK invites applications for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join across the UK & Ireland, with the aim of developing fire engineering solutions for new and existing buildings. You’ll work in a dynamic design team, supported by experienced engineers, gaining exposure to fire growth analysis, escape strategies, and reporting to clients.

The programme offers hands-on project experience, mentorship, CPD, and opportunities toward Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Fire Engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Right to work in the UK or Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire engineering analysis on a range of new and existing building projects.
• Work across a diverse range of buildings, including high-rise offices, large retail complexes and airports.
• Analyse fire growth, means of escape, structural fire resistance and smoke control using CFD and other methods.
• Prepare technical reports and liaise with clients, including major developers.
