Job summary

Jensen Hughes in Belfast and across the UK & Ireland is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our global team of 2,000+ professionals. This two-year Graduate Development Programme offers hands-on project experience, mentorship and support towards professional accreditation.

As a new engineer, you will work on fire engineering projects for diverse buildings, receive ongoing technical guidance, and pursue Chartered status with support from the firm.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK or Ireland.
• Master’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics (recent or expected).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Additional qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fire engineering analysis on a range of new and existing building projects.
• Working across a diverse range of buildings, including high-rise office buildings, large retail complexes and airport developments.
• Analysing fire growth, means of escape, structural fire resistance and smoke control using methods including CFD.
• Preparing technical reports and liaising with clients, including major building developers in the country.
