Rider Levett Bucknall is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer in Manchester with hybrid working. You will support the fire engineering team from concept through to construction, contributing to high-quality fire strategies and technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related STEM.
• Willing to learn and develop through mentoring and APC.
• Strong collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing fire safety strategies and reports for new and existing buildings in accordance with UK regulations and international codes.
• Conduct fire engineering calculations, including means of escape, smoke control, and structural fire protection.
• Support the use of computational tools such as CFD and evacuation modelling software.
• Contribute to fire risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
• Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external clients, architects, and building control bodies.
• Keep up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and technical standards.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and graduate development programs.
